An Image?
1. a visual representation of something~(an external form of a person or thing in art)

2. a mental conception held in common by members of a group and symbolic of a basic attitude and orientation.

3. a symbol that represents something with a particular meaning.

4. a code (in digital perspective), or tons of pixels.

5. quite subjective that is only able to convey a part of truthfulness.

6. a mind-affecting thing that really has something to do with mental issues, causing mental images.(表象:表象在大多数情况下非常类似于感受到某些物体、事件或场景的视知觉经验,然而在感受这些经验时,相关的物体、事件或场景并未实际呈现在感官上。有些时候的表象有着快速、变幻无常、不自主的特点,因此会违背知觉,呈现千变万化的场景,以致不能清楚辨识目标,尤其是在入眠期和半醒状态下。表象有时会产生同等于想像体验的效果)

7. bounded that has relation with the reality, will it be a reflection of reality? the answer is I don't know, it really depends on personal preferences.

8. a technical entity.
The thing?
mental images-what it "feels" like?
it is based on the experiences, of the objects, views, people, textures, etc... and it won't directly present onto our sense organs. that feeling or we say the mental images are more like an impression only exists in our brain.
but there are also two different kinds of dominated mind types, one is image-oriented, one is word-oriented.

is trying to follow it into my conscious mind. But its struggles are too far off, too confused and chaotic; scarcely can I perceive the neutral glow into which the elusive whirling medley of stirred-up colours is fused, and I cannot distinguish its form, cannot invite it, as the one possible interpreter, to translate for me the evidence of its contemporary, its inseparable paramour, the taste, cannot ask it to inform me what special circumstance is in question, from what period in my past life.

Techno-humanism
a relationship between humans & technology.

techno-humanism envisions a world where technology is so highly integrated into society that it becomes part of our greater intelligence and enables us to live longer.

example: Elon Musk's Neuralink chip tested live in pig brains
an image, in my eyes, is a medium to convert 3D visual scene into 2D visual presentation.

which also drives to the concept about objective and subjective. objectivity is literally the reality, the nature, the material world which is completely separated from anthropic definitions, or human ideology. and once an authentic view is captured and turned into a plane presentation, it suddenly transformed into subjectivity, and absolutely the action we capture it is also a subjective intension, where we are standing at, which angle we choose, and what elements we want to add or neglect, all of these intensions are come from deep consciousness based on our will. so the image, as a representation of a view, is definitely subjective. and there is no complete objectivity in the field of photography, no need to say we are in an era when full of digital alternations.

to some extends, there is also absolutely no true truth, the objective point of view in the human world.
